go see*
This project is in collaboration with Ramona Jingru Wang. go see* reimagines the traditional ‘go-see’ format as a narrative that is both intimate and thought-provoking. In a fashion industry and western mainstream media landscape that often reduces Asian identity to monolithic stereotypes, this project serves as a counter-narrative. go see* seeks to spotlight the diverse stories of Asian models, offering a fresh perspective that challenges the frequent oscillation between genuine appreciation and cultural appropriation. Through this series, the project not only captures the faces of these models but also delves into the depth, diversity, and resilience they embody, pushing back against the industry’s tendency to overlook the richness of their individual narratives.
